The hate-spewing American Airlines passenger seen in a viral video being put in a headlock and marched off a flight also drunkenly ranted about “blue-eyed white devils” — and threatened to “take this plane down with all you mother f–kers on it,” according to court documents.


The passenger, identified as 29-year-old Florida man Shail Patel, had already been accused of hurling an antisemitic slur at a flight attendant during the wild scuffle on American Airlines Flight 2506 from his hometown of Tampa to Philadelphia on Tuesday.


He had bloodshot eyes and reeked of alcohol — and yelled at other passengers, “F–k you blue-eyed white devils I’m gonna take this plane down with all you mother f–kers on it,” according to a criminal affidavit obtained by The Post Friday.

He was belligerent as soon as he boarded — and “began acting erratically yelling and cursing at the passengers, ” the filing alleged.


Patel’s antics then took a violent turn when he allegedly slapped another person in the hand and face and spat on them.


Portions of the brouhaha, which erupted while the flight was still on the ground at Tampa International Airport, was captured on video circulating online, which showed Patel hurling an antisemitic slur at a flight attendant, and then being put in a headlock by a fellow passenger.




In one clip, Patel, dressed in a striped button-down shirt, could be heard calling a crew member a “k–e.”


“I’m trying to get to my home country and you all people made it harder for me to get to my home country,” he shouted.


Another video showed a fed-up flyer in a blue hoodie and baseball hat grabbing Patel and putting him in a headlock after a shoving match.

“Now put your hands down and don’t touch anybody,” the man screamed as he kept his counterpart in the headlock.


“I’m a police officer,” said a woman in a backward hat as she approached the duo, leading the man in blue to reply, “So am I.”


“Turn around and walk,” the man in blue told the disruptive passenger as he continued to restrain his arms.


The disturbance caused the flight to be delayed by 30 minutes as cops were called to deal with the disruptive traveler.

Patel was arrested on two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication, all misdemeanors. He remained in the Hillsboro County jail on a $2,150 bond as of Friday.
